QUALIFICATION IN QUALITY ASSURANCE APPLICATION

Description: 

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required for a Quality Inspector producing quality reports & inspections within a Manufacturing environment. The course will provide knowledge of the technical, procedural & standard aspects to build within our system & provide an accurate report to potential clients globally, as well as an understanding of the administrative processes necessary in achieving the desired outcomes for Quality Assurance. 

Job roles/employment outcomes:

The job will require you to work with the technical staff, other internal colleagues & clients to meet a diverse range of varying standards. You will develop a rapport with existing,  new clients & internal colleagues that will continually improve quality to ensure standards are satisfied & at a high level.

People with this qualification would be expected to work under routine only supervision, inspection of incoming & internal goods prior to shipping, issue conformance reports in compliance with approved specifications & standards, raise non-conformance reports as & when required, review technical documentation & ensure correct specifications are being adhered to, maintain meticulous records of inspection & have excellent verbal & written skills & excellent time management . Employment outcomes related to this qualification are found in a wide variety of manufacturing and engineering related sectors as well as Quality Assurance in other industries.

Application:

This qualification is designed to provide an industry recognised skills profile related to trade work as a Quality Inspector. Skills development would usually be undertaken through an Australian Apprenticeship arrangement where the mix of on and off-the-job training would be specified in the Training Plan associated with the Contract of Training between the employer and apprentice. Assessment of some units of competency must, where indicated, include evidence of the candidate's performance in a productive work environment where there is a sufficient range of appropriate tasks and materials to cover the scope of application of those units. All outcomes must reflect the standard of performance inherent in the job.

Requirements:

  • Current Year 10 or 11 student
  • Current/previous experience in metal work/engineering subjects
  • Good level of maths and literacy skills
  • Leadership skills
  • A passion to work in the engineering sector
